On May 5, 2023, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed amendments to the 2020 National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for the Plywood and Composite Wood Products (PCWP) source category. In this rulemaking, EPA is proposing standards for processes with unregulated emissions of acetaldehyde, acrolein, formaldehyde, methanol, phenol, propionaldehyde, non-mercury HAP metals, mercury, hydrogen chloride, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, dioxins and furans, and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate. These standards include proposed emission limitations and work practices applicable for PCWP process units and lumber kilns.  More information.  https://www.epa.gov/stationary-sources-air-pollution/plywood-and-composite-wood-products-manufacture-national-emission
