Revisions to NESHAP for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills

On January 12, 2021, EPA Administrator Wheeler signed revisions and clarifications for the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Landfills. These changes correct errors and clarify wellhead monitoring requirements for identifying excess air infiltration; delegation of authority; applicability of the General Provisions to affected MSW landfills; and handling of monitoring data for combustion devices during periods of monitoring system breakdowns, repairs, calibration checks and adjustments.
