The Lake Michigan States Section of the Air & Waste Management Association invites you to join us at our Annual Waste Conference!  Learn from the industry leaders and regulators on the critical issues facing the waste industry.   This year’s conference will focus on the latest in microplastics/plastics management and impacts to the Great Lakes; what’s new with PFAS; State regulatory updates, CCR updates; and much more! 

Following an opening keynote address by James Jennings, Acting Director, Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, the conference will have sessions covering:

• Plastic Waste: From Global Issue to the Great Lakes
• What's New with PFAS
• Regulatory Update
• Coal Combustion Residuals – Challenges, Regulations and the Path Forward 

In addition to the sessions there will be a luncheon keynote address presented by Dr. Albert Cox, Environmental Monitoring & Research Manager, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago, on Land Application of Biosolids:  Managing Practices, Regulatory Requirements and Public Perception Challenges.  The day will conclude with a networking reception with fellow conference attendees.   Check out the full conference brochure here.
