The A&WMA Lake Michigan States Section and the Union League Club Environmental Group are pleased to invite you to join us at the November 18, 2025 Environmental Breakfast. Nancy Tuchman, PhD, Founding Dean, School of Environmental Sustainability, Loyola University, will provide a presentation on Loyola’s carbon neutral program including use of geothermal for heating and cooling as well use of its biodiesel to run its shuttle buses. Nancy Tuchman spent the first 14 years of her career as a Professor of Aquatic Ecology in the Department of Biology at Loyola University Chicago. In 2002-2003 she served as a Program Officer in the Ecosystem Studies Program at the National Science Foundation, then returned to Loyola to serve as the Associate Provost for Research for five years (2004–08). In 2005 she founded and directed the Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy (CUERP) at Loyola. From 2010 – 2013 she served as the University's Vice Provost before being appointed Founding Dean of the Institute of Environmental Sustainability (IES).
COST: The cost to attend for non-Union League Club members is $50 per person for A&WMA members; $65 for non-members; $30 for government employees; and $20 for students. Registration fees includes a hot breakfast and any presentation handouts.
RSVP: Due to limited seating and our arrangement with the Union League Club, advance registration is required to guarantee availability. Reservations may be cancelled for a full refund only if we are notified 48 hours in advance of the event. Union League Club members should contact ULC to make their reservations.
SPONSORSHIPS: Cost for a sponsorship is $100 and includes your company name and logo on all event email promotions as well as recognition at the event. Sponsorship does not include an attendee ticket. If you would like to also attend, please purchase a ticket.
CREDIT: Attendees will be eligible to receive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) or Professional Development Hours (PDH) credit.
A limited number of scholarships are available for anyone who requires CLE credit to maintain professional registration such as attorneys, professional engineers and professional geologists and who could not otherwise afford to attend this conference.
